9 to 5 to Sunshine competition terms and conditions

Anyone who enters the Competition (an "Entrant") will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them

The following rules are together with, and in addition to the kmfm competition terms and conditions which can be found here

Competition Rules.

To enter the Competition an Entrant must text in when they hear the boarding call played out on kmfm during the competition hours (9am-5pm weekdays from 6th-22nd May 2025).

The Boarding Call is a piece of audio that will be played between the songs during kmfm Breakfast, Daytimes and Getting You Home

When the boarding call is played entrants must text ‘Sunshine’ plus their full name and postcode to 60099.

Texts are charged at your standard network rate.

Entrants have until the end of the second song to enter. Entries sent before or after the second song finishes will not be entered. Texts sent before or after this time will not be included but may still be charged.

Incomplete texts may not be entered.

Bulk entries from the same telephone number, whether these are sent via the entrant, automated, or assisted by machine are prohibited. kmfm will at its discretion disqualify any entries which in reasonable opinion appear to have entered this way or used any of these methods to enter the competition.

If bulk entries have been made from the same entrant using more than one telephone number, kmfm will at our discretion, and acting reasonably, disqualify these entries.

A random text will be chosen from the correct entries and called back.

If the chosen entrant does not answer their phone after 2 attempts to call them for whatever reason another entrant will be chosen.

If during the call the entrant does not answer when spoken to for whatever reason, including technical issues
from the entrants phone, that call may be ended and another caller will be chosen at random.

If the caller is driving at the time of their call and can not pull over for whatever reason, another caller may be chosen at random.

A call will be recorded and played out on air.

The randomly chosen entrant will be required to talk to the on air presenter/s.

Entrants must enter via text every time the boarding call is played on air for a chance to win a place on the standby list. Entries are not counted from previous times the boarding call is played.

Each randomly successful entrant will win a number and place on the standby list (the final). There are 40 places in total and are won numerically. Some standby list numbers have cash prizes attached to them of £25, £50 or £100.

The final of the competition will take place on kmfm Breakfast on Friday 23rd May when one entrant on the standby list will be asked one holiday destination related question. If they answer correctly they will the grand prize of £2,000. If they answer incorrectly another entrant on the standby list will be chosen, and so-forth. The winner is the entrant who answers the question correctly.

Two attempts to call the randomly chosen finalists will be made. If they do not answer their phone after 2 attempts to call them for whatever reason another entrant will be chosen. The producer's decision is final.
